 | Anyone? When to fit these yesterday and they look different to the original cups when i took the strut apart.

The ones iv received have a raised lip like in the in the actual image of the ad but the original ones are flat all the way around and so cannot fit the rubber piece that fits the cup where the spring sit up against if that makes any sense?

 The difference.

 | Maybe it lowers it by now using the rubber bit?
Don't see why you would want to do that though for the sake of 10mm. You could cut the rubber bit so that you could put it in maybe, but I would get new ones first just in case
Although saying that, surely if you cut it they could move about and that won't be particularly safe

 | It should be a straight swap over and the only difference should be thats the new ones are deeper to give a little more drop on the front.

All the pieces should be a straight swap without having to cut bits here and there.

These are definetly not the correct ones but the seller seems to think they are

 | Well they're essentially not fit for purpose because you can't fit the rubber bit so can't fit the spring. Send them back.

 | Remove the rubber, seen plenty without.

I wouldnt bother with custom springs either, just convert to coilovers.

 | Not really because the spring will fit in the notch like the bottom does in the shock cup.

 | Bottom Toby.

They would fit if i did not fit the rubber piece but sure that will make it really harsh and rattly.

If thats the case then the amount of weight on it you wont hear or feel it but will allow it to drop another cm or so i would imagine.

 | the spring sits against a metal cup at the bottom of the strut and it doesn't rattle so one at the top should be OK too.

It will probably make the suspension a bit harder though,
