I've bought an iPhone, i've got a PAYG sim....

What package on o2 do I need to go on, so I can have roaming data useage without being raped?

Theres a couple, and don't know which one i'd need. On average how much data do you lot use a month?

Thank you

None of the o2 packages don't rape you for roaming data. I think Vodaphone is better for roaming.

If you can get it on Three PAYG you can get unlimited Internet for £5 a month.

No usage limits as far as I can tell.

As Rob said though, you get raped for roaming full stop, best way is to get a local payg sim.

When I phoned up to downgrade my current Simplicity tariff, they said Data wasn't available as a free bolt on, so I wouldn't have saved any money.

I got a text going something along the lines of they'll never charge me more than £20 for international roaming no matter how much data you use, subject to fair usage. To be honest, I can go on holiday without needing to check my Facebook and e-mails can fuck off if I'm abroad.

If you're abroad on business though, then roaming is obviously useful. As you say though Ed, there is a limit which i think is 50 euros when in the EU, after that the network has to stop charging.
As said though, if you're visiting a country regularly or staying for a reasonable length of time then i'd just get a local sim card. Either that or stick to using WiFi hotspots.
