I prefer this over pirate bay because you can read about the quality etc of the file from feedback.

edit - torrentz searches all of torrent sites like Pirate Bay, Mininova etc

The only reason I can see why people wouldn't like piratebay is because they don't understand how to use it maybe? It's fast and generally has everything under the sun. Ok, sometime I get the search engine overloaded crap but it soon works a click later. I usually just go on Top100 for movies, music as they're always the latest and best seeds anyway. Otherwise I just search for something and arrange by seeds. The most popular are usually ones with a purple or green skull which means they're trusted users sort of thing, I forget.

used to use mininova, with isohunt as a backup, tend to use isohunt and piratebay these days
