Can I use Sky Player on my laptop even if I'm not at the address that the Sky Subscription is registered at as long as I have internet access? Just thinking that would be quite handy if I could use Sky Player in my Dads name to watch things on Sky & Sky Sports even if I'm not at his house

Yes as long as you have internet access you are fine - anywhere in the world.

Note you can only register one machine as the main one with Sky Player so if they use it then you can't but if they don't then nothing stopping you (as long as they are happy for you to obviously)

Cool, thanks. Thats what I wanted to hear. He doesn't use Sky Player and wont have any interest in using it so I figured it could come in handy for me sometimes. I'll have to get his account details and get it set up

Yeah you can, I use my mates quite a bit to watch skysports etc.

Can only have a certain amount of comps registered at one time though (up to 4/5) but you can remove previous ones in the account settings.

As I have just discovered nope... you have to either multiroom or the unlimited broadband option to get Sky Sports etc. on the Sky Player bastards

You'd think you would be able to get all the Sky Player features by just being a Sky customer, not depending on whether you have Multiroom or the top broadband package.

I find the whole multiroom really annoying. IMO it should be for everyone with a subscription or its own fee.
There is no logic in multiroom subscribers being given it. Yes they have paid for multi-room BUT there is nothing stopping them watch two things on thier normal sky boxes AND this i.e. 3 things which they have not paid for.

Grrrr
