Before you go on about its pointless n that crap. 
What would the effects be on lightening it? I've got a spare 1, and if it makes my engine just pull a bit better then a massive flat spot, be better.

lightening the flywheel on it won't make any noticable difference.
You may as well chuck the spare tyre out and strip the back seats. That's the most effective way to make...them really slow things any faster.
