I wish i'd kept my MK II now. It got hit three times by other drivers in thirteen months and looked too far gone to be repaired so I was forced to scrap it. 
When I see what can be done now I just kick myself. It wasn't rusty, it just needed a lot of body work. I had/have all the panels in my loft too so it's even more annoying.
Not quite as annoying as the money some really shitty basket case MK Is and IIs go for currently though.
A good one will cost the bloody earth now.
I so wish i'd bought an RS 2000 when you could still get a clean one for little more than two grand.
It'd be four times that now.
