They get boring after a few weeks, and you WILL want to add more power.

Then you'll want a LET.

Nail, head mate. When I first jumped in mine to drive it back up the road from Staffs I actually thought it as too much to handle, acted like an animal. Now, 2 years on, it's getting on a bit and not worth all the daft wee niggles - Soon as I've got a bit of cash behind me I'm looking at getting/ upgrading to a LET.

Cheap fun and frolics, I'd tell anyone to at least own one. (Including the one I'm selling - Plug intended )

I was exactly the same when i bought mine and drove it back from Sheffield to Newcastle. I have a 1.4 8v Corsa before the XE and fuck me i thought it was the fastest car on the road, absolute weapon.

8 months later i got rid as it needed quite a bit of work. I now wish i'd kept it and just had the work done as i tracked it down 2yrs later and the engine was still going well, it made 160bhp on the RR'd.

They are great fun, mine understeered with nice tyre smoke if you try going round a corner fast but seriously they are great fun and the engine reacts really well in them

on the plus side in traffic even up a hill i could just leave mine in second with no throttle and it would climb the hill in pace with the slow moving traffic

had one for a year and really liked it, was fun to drive and was so much better than my poxy 14xe sold it o for silly cheap and the bloke blew the lump up 16valves and cracked the head, then he wrote it off by smaahing his other corsa into it ruddy plonker..
Going to build one when i have some money and put it in a decent shell.

I loved yours when we came and bought it.

The standard looking rear box etc made it a great sleeper.

WHY DOES EVERYBODY SAY YOU WILL GET BORED, To me these are people who only really go up and down dual carriageways beating other lads in 1.1 pugs or to tell their mates they have a turbo while standing at the fruit machine in wetherspoons

ive owned my corsa xe for about 5 years and not bin tempted to tune it once..... fact of the matter is they are fast enough and no AVERAGE joe guy can use a normal xe corsa to its full potential on the road if you are ur either gonna be soon badly hurt or dead or behind bars.

yes u can use it to its full power on a dual carriageway but thats pointless im talking about where the real fun is sweeping A/B roads...

corsa xe has more than enough power to keep you happy with plenty of performance, ive personally driven a nova let and found it rediculous it was un-driveable round corners whgen you gave it some beans this to me is crap.............

i also own a bandit 1200s bike and in the bike world it is apparently slow although it does 0-60 in 3 secs and standing 1/4 in 11 secs at 125mph something most super cars dream of................ fact is its too fast to enjoy one small twist of the throttle in 2nd gear and yor doing silly speeds in just couple of seconds, im actually thinking about getting something smaller than you can rev/play with the engine...

silly power is overated you only need as much as you can use.

i use to batter the shit out of my old xe corsa on the country back roads. it was a great laugh. never once let me down in 2 years.

what exactly do people get bored of? is it just because its not as much of a match for some of the newer cars on the road?
