My mate has a 1.4 sport and the engine is shagged. He wants to get a 1.6 engine for the car and was wondering if the x16xe engine would work with the x14xe ecu etc? If not, what exactly would we need to change? Cheers

higher up the rev range it will run lean as its not mapped for the extra 200cc but ive hered some good stories and some horor stories about 1.6's running the 1.4 ecu's

just do it properlyu and plonk a x16xe's ecu in the thing
