yea...i was thinkin of goin for some 4pots. i will get a set of pro races for it though...thats a definite! i was thinking maybe the black wit a red speedline...? unless you think white will work against the grey? i love white wheels...but im not sure they would compliment the car.
if not the 1.2s's wit the red s'line, then some anthracite 1.2's...or the 3's...coz i love the 5 spoke look tbh!
i understand the unsprung weight thing...i just love to know that i can stop quickly...and i also want the brakes to fill the wheels a little too...which is why i was thinkin of the 308's.

Unsprung weight is used like a buzz word sometimes, the same as heat soak. In reality, if you have 2.0 brakes and put V6/ turbos on I very much doubt you will notice a difference in the turn in, I certainly didn't anyway. I'd definetely say that it isn't worth the extra £300 if the V6's are going to suit you needs.

yea... well i can always drive the v6's and if i dont like em...take em off...
yea i thought the matt black/red line would suit the car nicely... i will have a look about when i have the car and the money, and see what i can get hold of. working for halfords i can get em pretty cheap.

Nice choice of car there mate, so nice infact I found myself driving that very one. Used to be my mates car and I nearly bought it but funds were abit low. Really do like Cavalier Gsi's and I enjoyed that one for the two weeks I had it. Hope to see it again and are you doing a project thread about it?
really? ooh...what condition was it in underneath??
i dont mind getting a bit of welding done, and in fact was gonna get strengthening plates put in anyways in various places. but he hasnt sent me any pics of the underside yet...
thats my only concern, but he says its in good condition...
Its tidy underneath mate. That was what we looked for when my mate bought her. Couldn't see any welding or out under there when he had it. Is a nice car, wish I had bought it when I was offered it.

Update the handles to Late spec vectra ones should be able ot buy pre painted ones as IIRC Veccies came that colour too....
Its rare to say this on a Cav/Cally but that exhaust suits it so well. Usually they look ungainly because of how they are gung so far back but that works really well
Can i have it

yea i am gonna sort the handles...thats what i spotted.
he has sent me some pics of interior and its okay. non-airbag wheel and decent looking seats...so thats gonna be ok.
yea i know what you mean but the exhaust. i think its just a backbox...but i will be sorting the rest of the system for it at some point i think. i dont like the double tip boxes though, which is why another thing to like.
no you cant

i hate cav slabs...im sorry...but i do.
i would rather get a set of good quality m'sport wheels.
the red pinstripe breaks the wheel edge away from the tyre, and stops the wheels looking smaller if there is a bigger lip between the spoke and tyre lip. the dynamics wheels have got a little speedline painted into a small groove on the outer rim, and they are very smart IMO.

The plans sound really good mate. I wouldn't do anything with the interior mate as it is in really good condition and they are comfy to be in.

You will probably be happy with the Seats, they are Recaro Framed items (the same as SRi ones) similar to ERST seats;

(The pattern on mine above should be different though...)
Also, the OE steering wheel, if not an airbag, isn't a bad item either - we have one in my missus's Cav - if you are lucky, it may also have the Height Adjustable Steering Column, which is pretty rare to see in the Cavs - we also have this fitted to my GFs;

I wish I kept my Cav, seeing a few nice ones pop out the woodwork recently, like the one you're getting, it makes me regret breaking and scrapping mine, and mine wasn't even a worthy one like a GSi or Turbo;

That does look nice tho bud. morettes look great too. Is that the standards front splitter or the laguna one, as alot seem to have it (including mine).

No, not Rota wheels - an old set made by a company called 'CAM' - so old that I can't even find any info on them on the Interweb!
Couple of better pics;

The Splitter was a Laguna one - the GSi/Turbo never actually came with a splitter as standard. I never liked how the standard bumper seemed to have a massive gap under it, hence the Splitter being chucked on to effectively make it look lower at the front
