My mate is looking to buy this : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1269002.htm
I was just wondering what your views are, is it well priced? and what kind of things should i look out for when going to view it?
Thanks

Look for a small diamond shaped badge on the front or rear,
If one of these is present, forget it.

My aircon was a bit funny, smelt a bit off. Other than that just take into account the service intervals. IE what needs doing & when

Check the hazards work, switches commonly break, think its a £50 quid part.
Exhaust as well, commonly rot, expensive part.
Spark plugs, they're coming up for a change if it's not been done yet, expensive.

Expensive for spark plugs yes, you are only supposed to use 1 type.

Check the servicing intervals have been kept to. Important ones to note are 36k which should be Auxilary belt and the 72k or 5 years for the Cam belt and pulleys.
Check for leaking rear shocks
Check for play in top mounts
Check eletrics work
Check for knocks under accelleration which will point towards engine mount which is a pieace of piss to fix.
The JC5 box is fine and not weak contary to belief
Basically treat it as any car you were going to go look at to buy

cheers for the info guys, very helpful.
The cambelt was changed 20k ago and the service history is up to date. it has uprated suspension and exhaust so id assume there fairly new so should be okay.
