mate of mine had one and his was running just shy of 500bhp and it didnt cost him much to get to that spec
if you actually think you'll get 1000hp from a 3.0TT 2JZ for £8,000 (think the MkIII is a 1JZ 2.5, not really sure though) you are plain stupid.
In theory you might get a pile of parts that might enable it... but to get it all together, and actually running in a car (reliably) you'd prob need at least 10-15k more.
