Im going to have a crack at cleaning this out tonight, and checking my vaccuum pipes around it. My car is idling like a twat and hissing loudly by/underneath the expansion bottle. Its caused the eml to come on, plugged it in and its thrown up the ICV fault. Now im guessing its a top inlet off, battery, expasnion bottle jobby, but are there any other things i should be aware of when doing this?? Thanks

by hissing do you mean when you switch on the engine it makes like a bubbling noise and it stops when you apply some revs?

Is the ICV the same as TPS on x16xe and c16xe? If so then its on the right hand side of the inlet by the tb

It sounds like the bloody thing is boosting up under load! Some may have smuggled a turbo in there.........

Im gonna have a gander tonight anyway just to give it a clean etc, so i will report back tomorrow and give the low down

Take a look in here Buddy.Its not that clear but gives you an idea and pictures Etc.
It is a fiddly pain in the arse job IMO,But if needs must.......
