After cracking the sump on my X14 and having just spent about £300 on the car i felt it a waste to just get rid of it for cheep, thus an XE was aquired and after a tiresome 6months later she is finished.
Just a few niggly problems to sort out, the fan isn't coming on, any suggestions? live wire from the ignition perhaps (meaning fan would always be on, any problems from that?)
Will get pics up soon after M.O.T on wednesday!

You dont want the fan on constantly...wire it up to a switch so you can choose when you want it on.

The fan switch on the radiator is prob knackerd, try bridging the wires to see if it comes on and if it does then replace the fan switch

The thermostat keeps it at operating temperature.
The fan will just piss you off if its on all the time and will be harder work for the alternator.
