10mm studs then. safer than a helicoil.

I've had no problem with 7 helicoils fitted in my XE head for the rocker cover.
Although M10 studs would be another alternative.

so if i was to buy the m10 studs how could i get them in without fuckin anything up?

Basically the threads are now useless so you have 3 options.

1. Swap head which is expensive and excessive.
2. Drill out the damaged threads, tap them out and fits helicoil insert which is bascially a small spring for the original M8 stud to thread into.
3. Drill out holes and tap out to M10 and use M10 studs and bolts in the 3 damaged holes.

See above.

You'll need a the M10 studs and nuts, A M10 tap and the corresponding drill bit.
