they'll charge a bomb for labour + parts if it fails you know.

iirc IAIN M took advantage of a vauxhall MOT deal and nearly got shafted.

If it fails you can drive it somewhere else for repairs, then drive it to a pre-booked MOT after it's been repaired.

Yeah they will bum rape you if it fails. I had a free MOT at an Audi dealership and it failed. Repair bill came to £1000 plus VAT and thats not inc 4 new tyres as the tyres were not correct for the car (as they have a tiny bit of stretch). Think they were charging £800 for 4 new tyres

When my Golf was done at a main VW dealer last year they charged £60 for an MOT (which it passed) but what with other bits and pieces the bill was nearly £600! Think it only had front and rear brake pads, air-con regas and new wiper blades. Fucking rip off, glad my company paid

MOTMax - if it dont pass you dont pay, if it passes its £40

edit - they only do MOTs as well so no bias to fail you on something

I've never understood why people send a car in for an MOT knowing it will fail
