had a nail closer to the edge! got it repaired instead of changing the tyre. done at least 2000km on it till now and it's still perfect (touch wood). just make sure they patch it well from the back with a heavy duty weave. for me it only cost EUR 5.00 compared to the EUR 170.00 they asked for a new tyre so def worth doing. Obviously it was made clear that if the patchwork goes the tyre needs to be replaced but at least i'm getting some miles from it still

They wouldn't repair it, I did try to get them to.

£177 per tyre for Pilot Sports, oh I love it

vredestein ultrac sessanta's are only £95 quid fitted and balanced each, why not go for something a little less ''namey'' and get a bargain?

Too late, they are on now. Means I've got Pilot Sports all round now at least and I know they have plenty of grip and last well mileage wise (unless you get a nail through them 1st)

is that not what they do to repair holes by nails normally? they said it was too close to the edge to repair
