Hi all,
Went to garage other day with a sportex exhaust so they could fit it, in the end they said it didnt fit as the pipe was too long... When they refit my standard one it was banging all over the place so i decided to get under there and give it a go myself, this is when i realised how fucking easy it is to fit an exhaust lol...
Anyway, i tried fitting it and realised he was right, i couldnt fit this thing in unless i cut a bit off or something. I got the hacksaw out and cut about an inch and a half away fron the pipe on the exhausts side. When i go to fit it now it just doesnt hold on at all as the flaired bit on the exhaust hasnt got enough length on it if you get me?
Here are some photos of what i mean...

Is there anything i can do to save this exhaust?
Any help is mucho appreciated

Weld a new pipe, but i imagine you can do that, so you would have to pay someone to do it, which would be about as much as the back box is worth

Holy fuck!
What a fucking mess that back box is in. Throw it in the bin and buy one thats not a nasty DTM and one that actually fits.

Why are you wasting all this time on such a rusty old piece of crap back box? Get a new one that fits straight on.

Couldn't the garage cut the pipe for you? They usually do...
