fair play on the door bars but as for the hoop its been welded were they join then griund down then re welded and then it has a sleve over that witch is welded top and bottom plus bars from the back are welded up to it and the ones above the head are all welded to it dont get me wrong its not as good as a fia one but if it helps even just a little bit ill be happy


now then grez12 ive not done any more to the engine yet mate funds have stopped at the moment i dont mind what people say on the net im more that happy with how it turning out so far but it is good to see other peoples views its like the above i didnt even think about the door bars were i flatened them ill have a look in to putting some 10mm plate in there to ad some strenth

Welding 10mm plate to that fine gauge steel tube will just make it weaker as the tube willl end up brittle at the welds and there will be no penetration on the steel plate.. You need too much current to get the penetration on the plate resulting in too much heat for the tube.
