Read my post on previous page. Scale is wrong. Its recently been altered from NM to lbft.

And the calculation works out as you said.

yup, didnt see the post over the page.

The calculations to work out..... if you think about it... its a respectable BHP at a low RPM... which means it must have decent torque to pull the numbers!

Yeah..its right. I agree its huge tho, and I was shocked when I saw it. But if you think Astra VXR's are 236lbft as standard, mine produced 280lbft with just a performance exhaust (on a different RR) and now Stage 2 mapped, with new turbo (I always felt the old one was dodgy) its done 367lbft. It is a big jump tho I agree.

Gaining 40bhp & 130ftlb from a remap sounds well funny....more like diesel tunning!!

Even 40odd ftlb from 'just a performance exhaust' sounds off!!!

In terms of the BHP they are whats expected for Stage 2. It should be 280bhp which i'm bang on with.

I agree the torque figures are high. But madly when I ran 280lbft with just the JP exhaust, there was another car there with just a JP exhaust and he ran exactly the same!!!

yup... the numbers on the graph add up.... but i'm still not convinced

Thats nearly as much torque as my 2.5 TD tow truck

Seems to run out of puff very early in the revs for a petrol car

just been on the aoc looking at other rr results and it does eem the figure he is quoting for lbft does sway towards the nm of other peoples results tbh his torque figures are more like phase 3 -3.5

Most Astra VXR graphs i've seen do peak in terms of torque at 3500rpm or thereabouts.

I've had a quick delve around and at a RR day at Ric Woods, everyone ran lower figures than expected, but the EDS Stage 2 Astras were still producing 341lbft but only hitting 268bhp.

Stage 2 is generally 285bhp with like 300lb/ft - 320lb/ft of torque I thought?

this argument will always happen i mean look at dannysports zafira gsi thats phase 3.5 z20ler/h with fmic exhaust etc tec and that only makes 300 bhp and 357 lbft so for your yours to be 367lbft on stage with just an exhaust and stage 2 is to high

Anyway.....figures are just figures. The car goes like stink. Tbh thats all that matters. All I can do is show the figures and graph I got. As AK said, the calculations add up

Its a mystery. Maybe my car is magic
