Need to sort one out this week but have no idea what make to get and where from
open face, full face?? no idea which is better for track racing
can anyone who does track racing recommend me a decent helmet, dont wanna spend more than £80 but cheaper the better

just get a nitro one of ghost bikes(google)there full face as thats wat u need or go to any moto bike shop and they mite have a cheapish helmet like a box or summin

dont need a full face for a car unless you have a kitcar etc .. or if you want a pass lap in one .. ive done a trackday in open and full face and much prefer the openface one.

Ive got a full face one from a local bike shop. Only a low end one. Was about £40 iirc. But is nice and comfy so does me well

think what your going to need it for....
If you are going to do any sort of MSA event, or any competative event at all really it has to have the correct stickers/markings (to meet regs) - none of the cheapies will have these, and motorbike helmets are NOT allowed (different standards)
If its just for trackdays, with no future seen for competative use, a cheapo will do...... or motorbike one
You can prob get a basic helmet that meets current MSA regs for about £200

To to a GPR shop at silverstone and try them on and find one that fits and is comfy.
That's what I done and found the one I was going to buy I didn't like and went for another one.

silverstones 10mins from my house, result!
cheers for that mate , i'll go down there today, really wanted an actual shop to go to anyway to try em on and see what fits best

got one from GPR at silverstone
got a brand new white Lico Clubman, fits perfect and was cheap as it was in clearance stock
(white helmet.....i am now the stig lol)

lol i kno ther was a black an yellow bike helmet on ebay with a wasp on it but wasnt sure
might get some yellow and balck decals on it lol

certainly better going to a shop, at least you get to browse and try them on first.
