i prefer older cars too but it's nice to have a new car with the driving aids that ''should'' get you out of trouble if you happen to take it beyond the limit.

Weird comment IMHO.
How is it weird, because I have a different opinion on cars to you?
And no, I don't like new cars. Too much plastic, driving aids (and not the good type) and most of them are boring to drive. For example, I'd rather have an Escort Cosworth than a new Focus RS, my 106 over a GTI, an Fiesta RS turbo over a Fiesta ST. Although some of them cars are totally different, that's just a few examples of the way I prefer my cars.
I disagree with you on each of those cars mentioned.
well said lol

Slightly, quicker than 182's the F1's are from my experience of trying to beat them

i too believe that cars from previous eras (to avoid the 'these cars were once new' stuff) are much better than newer cars. They have character, much more fun to drive and just give a better experience. I am not a fan of all these new cars that do the driving for you. Plus, the cars that are coming out the showroom now will not last anywhere near as long as the older cars...they are designed to break and be recycled after a pretty short space of time.
There was a feature in fast ford last month pitting the RS1600i against the RS Focus. I would have had the 1600i everyday of the week. And when Total Vaux had the Cav and the Insignia...i just loved the cav. New cars are boring and tacky, and for the most part look virtually the same!
I do understand that different people have different opinions and needs...but the term "Built not Bought" means alot to me, and so new cars hold nothing for me.
i agree with danny, but everyone is entitled to like what they want...thats what cars are all about!
