my car keeps messing about,
most of the time i start it and its fine but sometimes it messes about,
this morning i went to the car and it started fine but ran shite at like 500 reves and then after a minite of running shit it built up to 1500 reves,
and the other day on the mot ramps i drove it on fine but it would not start after he had done the mot so we had to push it of the ramps LOL,
and then today i jacked up the front to change brake pads and then it started fine and drove about 1 foot then cut out and wouldent start again,it seams that most of the time when you jack evther end of the car up it wont start till you put ya foot flat on the thrrottle and keep turning the starter motor over for about a minit, but today it concked out and wont start again.
wats wrong its getting a spark but dont wanna go like.HELP ME PLEASE !!!

yeah sounds like it. mine went on my 1.4 sport, thought i had killed it
did paperclip test on it and shown up as intake coolant temp switch, got a new one from vauxhall - £8 i think it was. easy access to it on the sport engines aswell, right at the front.
when it dies does your engine management light flash as its dieing? if so more thank likely the fault mate

IIRC the CTS helps the ECU calculate how much fuel to supply - if the Sensor shows a hot signal, less fuel is supplie, if a cold signal, more is supplied
If the Sensor Fails, it would be giving a false signal, causing the ECU to supply waaay too Much or too Little Fuel, causing the running/starting issues
Thats my understanding anywho.
