You do get free refills for life on that Zymol Royale stuff. I guess it's kind of justified because it really is a pro product which a detailer can charge a premium for so they could probably get through quite a bit of it. Maybe

Dont people say the same about most premium products?

I can go out and buy a cheap £100 LCD tele, but spend £500 on one instead. I could buy a £500 car to get from A to B but but a £50k one instead.

Im guessing they either saw a need for it, or saw a gap in the market - not one where you're going to rush out and buy it, but where professionals who will notice the difference will do so.

do you think personally you would notice the difference between some 50 grand polish or some 2.99 turtle wax? most people wouldnt have a clue. wouldnt suprise me if thats all it is, some back to black in a posh bottle with a massive mark up. you'd not know.

That ferraris shine is no better than the shine on the bonnet of my £1.30 Arc drive through car wash today

Im not a professional detailer though.

BUT, if I was paying a fortune to have my car done by one, Id feel happier knowing they are using a £165 product than a £3 one from ASDA (even if I couldnt notice the difference).

£165 Fair play to them for actually selling them though! But I'll stick to paying the local drug dealers and money launderers £4 for a wash n wax

seems thats all this detailing stuff is. £3 polish but costing a fortune and people not being able to know the difference so they pay it. maybe im wrong. i just think 99% of these photos in this type of thread are edited to make the car seem brighter etc than it actually is to make it look better.

polish is polish. you cant tell by looking that one car was done with a fiver and the other 500 quid surely. i couldnt. chris's vx looks as clean and shiney as the other pics of the professional done stuff to me.

Ive no idea either, but then Im not into all that shite.

Saying that, their are 'normal' products and 'premium' products out there where a lot of people cant tell the difference but their is one that many others can tell.

a lot of money

i was right into all this malarkey a few years back but after buying a black car i've gave up on perfection and a wash and wax does

the car gets just as many compliments on how shiny it is regardless

the moral

most people dont give a fuck

I'm not trying to be a cock here but if the finish is so good why would the pics need touching up to make it look better/cleaner/more shiny?

At £165 a bottle I'd want to see it in the flesh and unmolested pics before that.

Sounds a gimmick, id rather use a company well established in researching a product than a dealer saying its good with no real understanding.

Unless otherwise stated, I can guarantee that none of the pictures Polished Bliss post up recieve any post processing to enhance the shine or anything like that, but that fact that some people think they are is a huge compliment to the company.
Polished Bliss are so busy with work, my brother doesn't even have enough time to sit down and post a writeup, let alone process a hundred images to make the car look a little shinier.
I'd also like to think that no other detailers would doctor their images to cheat. Some images posted up on DW are a bit over exposed, but thats about it.

Its not all just about the quality of shine a product gives. Its also about the durability and the protection it gives. Thats where the more expensive products excel.

This is not a polish. Its a sealant.

But none of the pics touched up to make that cars look more shiney...

If you ever fancy a road trip, you're more than welcome to visit the Polished Bliss premises during working hours to see the quality of their work in person.

Its not as if they cooked this stuff up in their kitchen. They spent a long time researching and developing this product, and in the end it was produced in conjunction with another well established company from America.

I just read the thread about that GTR.

He marked a quarter panel and the roof while taking that stuff off, so had to machine polish the marks then apply it again.

I'll stick to my normal wax I think

All GTRs have some "self healing" paint which means its really soft and they're notorious for being very easily marked.
The detailer left the product on for about an hour longer than was needed which obviously made it harder to remove. The mark he made wouldn't have been anything significant. Just slight marring or something like that, but most importantly the mistake made was down to the detailer, not the product.

As much as Ultimate Shine's images are good, he is one person I really am not convinced about in regards to untweaked finished pics - a lot of his images are borderline HDR effect and I'm not the only one to have thought / noticed that...

I'm not entirely sure if they have any plans to produce any more products. Probably just a few more batches of Project Awesome.

I don't think any of Ultimate Shine's images are tweaked in that way. As I said before, some of them are over exposed which does make them look a little shinier than the eye would see them, but they're no different to this...

Murray - I wasn't saying PB's images are tinkered with, I don't feel that at all, but Ultimate Shine's are no matter what I'm afraid:

More photos of that car in his DW thread: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=131776

All of the final photos have been fiddled with.

I don't think they have been. He even states,

"Next was the photo shoot. I have been studying the camera more to find out the further possibilities and I am getting to grips with RAW imaging.
**All the following pictures have not been edited in anyway i have the raw data to upload to my site**"

I don't think its fair for you to say otherwise unless you know for sure.

Just realised ultimate shine is based 2 mins along the road from me. Didn't click till I read that post and saw the pictures of his van.
