As per title its in now, so need to tell them ASAP insuarnce is done already

All you need to do is fill in the new engine capacity on the V5 document and send it off to them

V5 is the form you get when you buy car right :s never looked in my log book lol

I have a section for changes to current vechicle, but has loads different boxes? not just about engine hmm confused, tyring to keep legal

have you put a bigger engine in or just a newer same size engine?

Change engine cc to whatever it is now and put new engine number down too.

That's all.

BTW if it's a 2.L engine then engine cc is not 2000, it's 1998. Make sure you put down the right cc or they may ask you for an engineers report which is just more hassle.

Bigger engine 1.6, can't put engine number on yet, as its at a garage, so will have to do later, make sure not to forget

I had to go to my local DVLA office as you have to provide either a reciept from where the engine came from or a insurance engineers report.

i had to send proof when i changed mine, and had to be from a garage to say they fitted it, as jamsport finished my XE off i got them to give me an "invoice" an just sent that, mines all up to speed with the dvla now, cant wait for trax in 2 weeks (mot permitting)
