I found the turbo spools up quite low in the rev range which is handy pulling off quickly, can't remember how it compares to the 1.7cdti though lol

mine was flat as anything before about 2200 rpm, then got a big lump of torque which was gone after 3500. the 1.3 has a tiny power band.

haveing said that it was fine for round town and could easily get 55+ to the gallon.
