Definitely gone up. Think yourself lucky though. I'm paying £30 more on a 12v shit box.
I did pay £600 last year though. However my renewal was £460, but when I said I wasn't a student, it went to over £700.

Mine went up. 9 years no claims and went from £290 to £425.
Phoned them up and got them down to £394. Pointed out i'm doing less miles, have another years no claims and the car has dropped around 1k in value.
Can't find anything else under £500.

Got a few quotes recently for my current car and an Astra VXR I was interested in.
Currently pay £400 on 105bhp Golf diesel. Best I could find for that was £550.
Astra VXR, £1050 with 2 and a half times more power. Weird

Just looked on Lloyds TSB who I was with for my first year (put it in as my situation will be at renewal time), had to laugh when it said that the car value had to be £1k, I had put £800 in and it didn't like it
Gone down a lot on this year though Too bad they don't allow mods
£800 for a Corsa C SRi next year

It can only go up if you allow it to.
Tesco wanted to put my Mitzy Warrior up from £290 FC to £365 plus extra premium tax charge, so when I asked why it had gone up the reply was "Because of the recent downturn in the economy we've had to put our prices up" so when I said I wanted to leave and get my NCB proof letter, my reply was "Because of the economical downturn I can not pay what you're asking, goodbye"
roughly 2 hours later the underwriters told Tesco to do it me for £250 with a complimentary shopping voucher worth £25.
You can manipulate these pickpockets if you really want to, you just have to spare the time to do it.
