which engine is it that comes out of the mk3 astra 2.0 16v? is it the xe? also how easy are these to fit and is it best to get all the welding and that done? might be buying one very soon to put in , any help greatful.

into a corsa b mate, cheers bt im a fair distance from you mate, not got the engine yet either, but might need help and advice along the way, do i need to weld in a strengthning kit??

well as easy as fitting a bigger engine can be?
just looking on chris astley, would i have to get the engine mounts conversion for corsa b and the conversion kit?

depends what model astra it is. later ones were x20xev etc. up to an L reg in the gsi's were c20xe. some L reg were c18xe also. all astra sports and later gsi mk3's were the x20xev or whatever its called.

The P1 Gsi also came on an M plate and are rarer with the C20XE.

What's a P1 GSi? I agree you can get the XE's on Mplates but didn't think there were any specials or anything.

A phase 1 gsi.They arent special,just not as much of them.Last off the line.
