Is there such thing?
I'm looking at buying a non running bike as a bit of a project but want to make 100% sure it's not stolen/written off.
It's only a 125 but will keep me entertained/keep the spanners dirty now I have a warrentee'd car en-route!
Can you HPI them in the same way?
There is no V5 so I would have to apply for one.
I have the full registration and chassis number.
ANyone help out?

I wouldn't buy anything without the V5, far too risky. For all you know, the reg they say is for the bike might not actually be for that, but another 'cloned' one...

This is why I want to do a check on it.
If the VIN number and the reg number don't match up then theres trouble.

if you text the reg you have to 83600, you get a small report and it will list the last 4 or 6 digits of the VIN.
although, that depends on how long the bike has been off the road...

Nope, thats a looser - just done a check online on it and the VIN number I have off the bike doesn't match the one on file!
