I have unfortunately killed my little 1.2 8v engine, but it just seems slightly pointless to replace it again with the same engine

if i were to put 1.2 16v or a 1.4 16v in it place. would it be a straight swap almost? or would there be a few other bits that are going to cost quite a bit, that need to be changed?

any help appreciated

ah its tht easy! would it be a bit more guttsy than the 1.2 8v, or no real difference?

1.4 would have a bit more torque...

looking for 0-60 figures jsut now..

13.6 for 1.4, 17.4 for 1.2

Me and a friend found one in perfect mechanical order for £10 + VAT, it wasn't fast - but nevertheless, was faster than the 1200.
