Argument on another forum over whether you'd prefer a Veyron or 1150BHP RS200. Ashamed to say i would prefer the Ford

i'd take the veyron, would be able to put the power down much better.
with regards to looks/performance, i always look for a bit of both.

in building mine...and even now, i am focussing on the performance, with very little effort going into the bodywork.
I have tried to make it look good...and various bits have contibuted, but i'm primarily focussed on the performance it lacks atm.

Going off what I'm driving atm, neither
It's slow and it's not the greatest looking but when I can afford to spend on it again, I'll be sorting performance before looks, if I bother with looks at all. This is gonna be a track car tho so looks aren't really important.
I'd quite like an MX-5 next which I'll probably go performance over looks on.
Too many people on here are bothered what other people think, I've spent time driving a few properly shonky vans but the shonkyest car I've drove was our old Primera, most of the front end was in primer, interior wasn't so clever but it was good for ragging round having a laugh in. Never thought about what other people were thinking, I was having a laugh and that was good enough for me

Nissan pulsar comes to mind with this thread. Have you ever seen a good looking one? Nope nor have I. Ugly as sin but pack a punch for sure.

I don't have much choice with my car so I've gone for looks I did intend on putting a new engine in it and keeping the 12v etc badges, but now I'm thinking about swapping it for a C 1.8 SRi next year.
All this "looks like a heap but it surprises people when it's quick" stuff is quite pointless imo, as it's only going to be quick off the line at traffic lights. When you're going round town or whatever, it isn't surprising as you'll be going the same speed as everyone else, so you'll look like a guy driving round in a beat up wreck. I would personally much rather look like a guy with a good looking car, people don't have to find out that it's slow.
Most people won't give it much off the line at some lights anyway, so as long as you don't make it sound like you're giving it full beans an barely moving, nobody's going to realise you only have a 1.2 8v under the bonnet.
