Random but....

My bike has been off the road for the last month of so, and i havent once thought about getting it sorted/ on it! (due to our weather)

I sat here today thinking is it even worth having one. The amount of times it can get used a year is minimal. There was a spell in may/june where i would get out on it 2 times a week. But the weather has been apauling for a while, and i cant see it getting much better, then winter will come.

I have so much fun whilst out, but does anyone else just think its jus not worth it? (im talking as a toy aswell as your day to day car)

I went to Europe on my bike (2,600miles) stopped mainly in Austria (good mountainous roads), did the Stelvio pass a couple of times, with about 8 other guys. This is what biking is about, go to the Alps and thrash your bike like we did and you'll think differently!

What do you mean the weather weve had rich? Its been a little rainy, so what? If it was freezing cold / sheet or black ice everywhere then fair enough but a little bit of rain didnt hurt anyone.

Awaits VXR to come and tell you off further

O and BTW, keep it, even if you only use it 3 times a year, if you get rid you will miss it and pay through the nose to get the feeling back, just keep it in a garage locked up properly to try and stop it being nicked

I think i was abit depressed yesterday. Just come back from faliraki where it rains about 3 times a year for about 2 days

And its like 38-40+ degrees for 6 months of the year everyday!

To be honest though, the best biking weather isnt a boiling hot sunny day, otherwise you end up sitting in a puddle of your own sweat. Dry but overcast days are brilliant

Trouble is there will be a good day, and youll really really want to have the bike with you.

This is why a scooter is more practical

But seriously, I've used mine in the wet. I'm not sure I'd want to do more than 14 miles a day on it though in the pouring rain.

But even so, when it rains it generally means everyone reverts to driving at 10mph and traffic is backed up, this is when a bike comes into it's own.

But if you are using the bike a toy, TBH it's not worth owning at all. We don't get the weather anymore.

his is why I sold my newer more expensive Mille and bought an old ZX7R for just over a grand. Doesnt bother me having it lying in the garage and then when I get a good day its still just as much fun..

What a big faowking jessie bag......

Maybe we got better weather in the south east. Rainfall usually doesn't stop play. Can't go as fast, but still good fun is the wet tbh i've hardly ever been caught out by rain on a rideout, and even moreso, don't usually catch that much rain going to work. Just have the odd few days that hammer it down hard. But thats year round riding.

Weather isn't good enough What bloody pansies.

Listen to Mazda, the force is strong with this one I never made Austria, but next year........

PS, get the bike working, track whoare it if need be. Get some slicks, and some wets, get any fairings off, and track itttttt.

tbh i dont see the point in riding in the wet, i got a bike to go fast, and the wet hinders that big time.
