Friday about 1am was driving home going a usual route, obeying the 50mph speed limit, came round a tight bend met by a deer! , swerved to miss it (should have hit the bugger!) tried correcting, too wet, over-corrected and spun backwards and ended up in a hedge on the drivers side......... ouch, bit of a sore shoulder and couple of bruises but althogether fine
bad news- the run-about rover iv bin in since xmas is dead, so had to pay recovery and fix a wire fence, an still worked out cheaper than my excess, so binned the rover (although ugly was a good workhorse with a reliable honda engine)
fucked.....

good news- didnt claim on insurance and family friend was nice enough to give me a polo for free to get rid of it, no mot no tax/service history. bit tatty but a decent 3door low miles, clutch slipping a bit and a large dent on ns door+ 1/4 but nothing i couldnt sort but, got it all taxed, mot'd today (2bulbs needed) and i have a new run-about, may even euro it as i do like polo's
possible potential for the future......we'll see.......best of all my insurance went down!

that is all

was thinking how lucky i was when i climbed out of the top of the car through the passenger door, i was like "how the fuck have i walked away from that with just a bump" to be fair the seatbelt did its job, an i ALWAYS wear mine, so glad i have that habit. looked even worse on its side in the hedge

well as i said when wrecked cars came into my old bodyshop "if your gonna do it, do it properly"
annoying thing was it was totally rust free, only a couple of carpark dinks, it WAS in good condition for its age, until about 4 days ago lol
