the standard clutch is not good enough for that kind of torque.

ive seen a few mapped pd 130s and to see nearly 90 lbs ft of torque from just a remap is alot, that almost double what most make. it must be very very peaky in its power delivery.

as fruitbooter has said their is a graph to prove it and their good rollers.
badgersport who owns the ibiza use to own a mk1 vts and came out with a very realistic print out with the mods he had done to it, so i belive the graph about the ibiza, it helps when you race a porsche cayman and he couldn't get rid of us.

That's bolocks tbh, the porsche was obviously just on his way to work.
I've had a remapped Fabia and I know exactly how fast they are, even the slowest caymen is still miles ahead if he was trying.
Remapped PD130's are quick for what they are but they aren't close to the performance of a car like that.

I see
I stage 1 map on a PD130 should take it to around 165-175 with around 270-290lb/ft

If they think it's as fast as a cayman it doesn't matter what rolling road it was on, they have no grasp on reality.

I hope your not including me in 'they' as I never said it was.

I'm including anybody who thinks they kept up with a cayman.
180bhp is do-able with harsh map but the torque is a bit high even for that.
A mapped 130, as much as I like them, still isn't close to the performance of a 270bhp leon as laready said.

180 and 315
more like 165 and 290 max

I wouldn't trust anything P-Torque says TBH, heard lots of stories about stage 2 maps being shit and causing lots of problems.

170 is realistic, 290 is about max for the torque though, 270 is about the norm.

and still not that quick - just feel quick
foot down - shit loads of lag, then a wall of torque and fuck all after 3800 rpm
Most overated engine
And a shit load of smoke to go with it

They are 172 quick, that's about it though.
I disagree with overated though, I think they were and still are one of the best diesels going, a remapped one has little to no lag and pulls to the redline, which admittedly isn't far above 3800.
That's still as big a power band as you get in a 'fast' NA hot hatch though so I don't see the issue, it's just at a different point in the rev range.

A stage 3 pd130 will be about on par with a 270bhp leon I think. What do mapped 225's do on 1/4mile?

my mates bora 130 is mapped to 175bhp and 280lbs ft, theres hardly any if not no lag and it pulls nicely to redline.

the only option is a 3series 3.0D remapped they are about 250bhp and was over 300ft'lbs of torque. then theres the smooth and refined quality you only get with a straight 6. those pd engines are way over rated and will seem like a tractor in comparison.

Friend of mine bought a 530d Sunday. The engine is miles ahead of any other diesel ive driven.
Really really impressed and cant wait to drive it after a tuning box!
