Right, so, my mum has got a honda cr-v (2.0 sport if you need to know)

Her and my dad are on the insurance, and as its due for renewal, she is getting quotes of arround £200/300 ish.

But ofcorse, heres the problem, she wants to put me on it (i go mountain biking alot, and my car is too low for most car parks ) Im 20, 2 years driving with 2years ncb. But because its a 4x4, its soo bloody expencive.
It goes up to £1000 on moneysupermarket for example, when i add me onto it.

Anyone know anywhere decent for this? Or is it just going to be pricey wherever i look?

realisticaly its going to cost at least £200-300 extra to put you on the policy, is it really worth it? you could go fully comp on your own insurance so your covered 3rd party on other vehicles but most insurance companies wont do it till your at least 21, infact mines not until im 25!

maybe just spend the money on airbags for your car so you can jack it up and get in the car parks?

You don't automatically get third party cover when you go fully comp.

if you insure your own car with bell you can add 'drive any car third party' on your insurance for about 25 quid.

had the option to do it when i got a quote and i'm 21.

Yup or Quinn will do it as part of the policy.

Though not to me as I'm in the "motor trade" - Bell would, but for £1500 extra

Bell, Elephant and Admiral are the same company arent they? Elephant and Admiral wont insure me to drive any car TP and I'm 22, but your saying Bell will? If so I'm going to be changing over!

Ill have to give my insurance a ring i guess, but was told when i took out the policy i couldnt drive any other cars.
That and it was the best quote by far for it, 650£ compared to £1000 + every other company gave me.
