Had a quick look on the internet and tyre prices range from £30 to £130 for one tyre...

I am after 195/55/15, set of 4 tyres....

Most important requirment for tyres is that they last long...(I do 12k miles a year) so don't want to change the tyres next year.

Just road use, rarely spirited driving so basicly i am after some quite, cheap and lasting tyres...

Fire away your suggestions!

oh, i want them as cheap as possible, max budget about 200, but the less i pay the happier i will be!

In a size like that you can generally get a good deal and not come out with complete rubbish. Anything from a big brand will generally be suitable.

Seems a bit expensive. You can get 50 profile for a lot less.

Yeah just looked on camskill and its much cheaper!

but 169 was fully fitted.

Are the tyres going on the Hyundai in the pic? Is it petrol or diesel?
Bridgestone are a very durable tyre. Michelin best grip you can get but wear quickly. Continental again are soft compound so wear like Michelins.
Anything under that will wear quicker than a Bridgestone.
Problem you have is that as cars have got more powerful and bigger, tyre company's have had to sacrifice longevity of tyre life for grip to cope with demand for performance rubber for modern powerful petrol and diesel cars.

not hyundai, i drive an Escort ATM, wanted to sell it but got right bollocking from parents "for wasting money on buying and selling cars" so i have to keep the escort.. its 1.6 petrol.

my dad got some michelins and they wear really slowly, i had some Conti's sport contact 2 and after 6k miles they looked like new...

yep I would agree, or if you must have have a known brand the cheapest conti's ecowhatever they are, or the equivlent michelin, i had the michelin on my old shed of an astra and they lasted absolutely ages

edit: go for a 50 profile as it seems there is more options
