Im sure this conversion is going to become more popular in the future with good c20let's being very hard to find
Ant is looking to convert his as soon as he come's back from working abroad
I have a rough idea how the conversion will work, but not 100% about matching the loom's / ecu's and what box is going to be best ?
Any info / imput would be great

The accelarator should be ok as you could mix and match x20xev parts

could you not use an f28 or f20?? as the off z20let fits the c20xe/let would be easier than trying to use an f23

common failure from them. quite a weak box. have seen many a vxr in for a gearbox . f28 seems to take abuse a lot happier.

not heard that they are weak (look at the highly tuned vxr's coming out atm) but I do believe the M32 that comes on the 1.9 cdt is suppose to have a common fault, Warren was telling me about it.

It is a common fault, something to do with a nylon part inside the box that's causing the issues.
I've had 3 x M32 and not had a problem though and I don't exactly tickle the car around.

Thought about doing this, has crossed my mind a fair few times recently.
Using an m32 would be so much work getting it into a corsa. You need to get a custom gearbox mount made up, custom shafts & also you have to convert the corsa's cable clutch to hydraulic, Best bet is to use an f28 or an f20 with a diff in.

as said could not use a x20xev cable tb
or fit a fbw throttle
we have only had problems with desiels with m20/m32 boxes (see alot more of them)
suffer from crunching 3rd to 4th, and not dropping out of 3rd
we just have to strip and replace bits in the boxes

Its a doddle to retro fit, the accelerator pedal is seperate on the Corsa..
The loom is really simplistic too for a modern ECU.

The TPS is part of the throttle and pedal.. The ECU would have a spastic attack with out it, you could go aftermarket management by why bother when fitting the pedal is so simple?
If somoene wants to fit the Z20LEt into their bay and bring me the car I am MORE than happy to get it running.
