They handle fantastically well. Brilliant suspension set up. Pro's obviously are amazing power per litre, very quick and amazing reliability.
Cons; I don't know much. People say lack of torque, but they have more torque than any of the rivals (eg, GTi, Sport etc). All in, a fantastic car.

low torque compared to bhp, probably why people think they have no torque

It really WILL be quicker I embarassed a DC2 from a standing start a good while back in my strpped 16v. So your one with 150+bhp will easily out pace a B16A2 Civic. And handling wise there isn't much btter for the money. A Civic is superior in the suspension department, but the shitey torsion bar works very well in such a light motor.

egs more prone to rusty arches being older
Eks dearer with them beng newer, still rust on the back arches and are ever so slightly heavier than the eg. Ek gets better interior Imo.
both hold value really wel for the Vtis
both excellent cars, go drive one, you'll love it.

But how much will he have to spend to put a B18 into a Civic? And please, you need to read up on a 150+bhp XSi vs a B16 Civic. There will be NO competiton what so ever

In all honesty i'd say keep with the 106. Sounds like you have spent a small some already and your running out of things to do, hence why your thinking of the change. Re-map and enjoy! Civic's are hit and miss with performance, some go so well, some just don't (damo ) But they're handling is outstanding which can make up for they're performance if in the hands of the right driver.

Mate had a EK Vti and it couldn't have move. 140mph easy. No one really no what was done to it. He know has a 2.2 Eg and it bet a Scooby STi the other night there. Other mate has a jordan and its really slow, got a 182bhp on the rollers but a Vts beats it. And theres a another EK Vti that goes about and its not that quick. It really depends on them, some are really quick some arent.
