hi people, as iam turboing my 1.6 16v , iam gona need some arp rod bolts
for the head and for the bottem end, where is the best place for them ? and a link if poss,

also do i need to machine the rods or anything ? cheers

put arp's in it dont skimp on things of you'll only be paying out to have a new bottom end if the rod bolts shear

The good thing about oem bolts are they tend to stretch first then break, giving you "some" time to notice something weird and switch the engine off, In the unlikely event of an ARP bolt snapping (still happens) they just break thats it, no warning.

you dont need arp bolts for the con rods. turbocharging doesnt't realy increase the stress on them that much. high revs give them the biggest concern and stresses. likewise with the head bolts unless you are running massive boost or areally high c/r then they arn't needed. the main caps will how ever see a bit more stress but once again unless your building a mad engine they would be obver kill.

demon tweeks can supply all arp bolts

whats the actual spec of the engine you are building?

i just got some piston rings from chris next day...

i need to send em back now coz i dont need them, but still...next day!
