Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on these, what they are like day to day etc... i am looking into the 13cdti eco flex.
Is there any places for aftermarket parts for the corsa d, have looked at the usual lmf etc...

Why was the old 1.3 CDTi not called an Eco Flex? Is it because it wasnt the in thing to buy a car with an Eco sticker back then.

They are a big heavy car for a "small" car, I would want one with an engine in it, brothers had a 1.2 courtesy car for about 2 months and its killing him, proper hates it.

GF just picked up a 1.3cdti.
I only drove it home but I forgot how good the 1.3 diesels are, really good engine, much better than a 1.0 or 1.2.
The rest of the car in general looks quite good so far, not sure whats bad about them.

The body roll is terrible, the steering feels like when you touch it the car reads it and moves it more than you wanted to and they just feel so cheap inside

It's a small hatchback aimed at new drivers and the shopping run, what sort of handling do you expect?
From spending 2 days looking at the corsa and it's competitors I actually thought the interior was one of the best, especially compared to the puntos I was looking at, the plastics on that dash are terrible.
I did notice the steering, I'd have to drive it more to make a judgement on that, but again, I imagine it's done in such a way that your mum would like it.

The lads on there will be able to tell you more mate.
I herd nothing but good things about the 1.3cdti but was the 90bhp version but not really sure how much difference there is between them apart from the eco flex one is 75bhp and that the 90bhp will not be £35 a year tax.
really like these myself and would love the 1.6 turbo but dont have a job at the moment so thats out the window.

My missus has a Corsa D and I quite like it! Nice to drive, better than it's competitors ( IMO ) it's no flying machine, but if that's what your after why would you be looking at Corsa's!
All round good car, perfect for day to day use!

I have no doubt that the interior plastics are better than a punto for the simple fact that bits of the punto fall off very easily

My wife has a 1.4 Design. The design is well spec'd but tbh the 1.4 feels gutless imo, but thats when going from a 280bhp Astra VXR so maybe i've just forgtten what a 1.4 is like??

Lol at all of you rating it like a VXR etc etc.
It's a "mum's" car for popping to the shops and doing the school run - and it does it very well!
Yes it wallows about like me on the piss and the steering a fuck all feedback but it makes for a nice smooth drive etc.
Remember what your Corsa B was like on standard shocks and springs and no PAS?

The 90 bhp is ment to be the best derv engine going from what people say plus you can get a tuning box for around £200-300 and boost it up to near 120-130, which is alot from a 1.3
6 speed gear box to i hear....

go out and buy either a seat arosa gti/lupo tdi or a dci clio then...both cheap enough to get your hands on, cheap to run, tax, insure and wont be paying it off for years and loosing it all its value in 12 months time!
corsa d's imo are boring as hell...cars too heavy for a little engine, i had one as a courtesy car and ended up leaving it at home and walking to work

corsa d is far far better than a previous gen clio dci. Was it a diesel you had or are you commenting on a 1.2? The diesel is brilliant in the corsa as has been said in here already. Manufacturers must have it massively wrong as well by beginning to put 1.4's in vectra sized cars. They've got it so wrong infact that you can't get hold of a 1.4 tsi because they can't build them fast enough.

Cousin has one. Great first car cheap to run, tax and insure.
They have been made to fill a place in the market and they do that very well.
