Had most of my car resprayed now, and would like some advice on good products that are going to protect my paint, and keep it shiny for as long as possible!
Thanks¬!

Just clean it, use a clay kit, polish then build up layers of wax. Keep on top of it and it will stay looking good.

How do you build up layers of wax?
Like if you are doing them 1 week apart....the 2nd time you come to do it what do you do? do you just wash then wax or do the full clean and polish and clay too?

After you do as i said above just clean the car with shampoo then apply wax again when it gets dirty. I was told to do one a week for 4 weeks then once a month. Every now and again strip the layers back with clay bar and start again (if it starts looking shabby)

Surely you don't have to clay fresh paint?

I would as then you know its 100% free of crap, unless they painted it and didnt move it from the booth then theres likely to be crap on it somewhere. Ask people about how bad some of the paint is on brand new cars. Theres always marks, dirt and scratches.

The brand new car has normally travelled a long way to make it to you.
If a car has been sprayed properly it should need nothing more than a wash and wax.

On the Dodo pots it says re-layer in 1 to 24 hours. So wash it, wax it and then chill for an hour, then wax again etc
I wouldn't personally bother with claying or polishing fresh paint, yes it would guarantee that there's virtually nothing you don't want on there, but there would be minimal amounts anyway if it's only gone from the body shop to your house.
Don't wax over tree sap though, I've done it a couple of times now and you have to clay it to get it off
