True but i cant think off the top of my head what recent hot hatchs they have had round the track to compare it to.
Id rather see the hot hatchs fighting it out than the supercars

I notice the Lotus Exige S did it in 1:25.
I'd laugh if the RS managed to equal or better that time too  Afterall, the top gear track will be similar size & length to Angelsey.

indeed, looked around one at the southend air show (liquid yellow), very nice car in a decent colour 
the one i saw was top spec and was over 19k

how do you know, the clio could probably carry more speed through corners but he was having to brake for the rs

But then the RS would have to lift off on the straights so he didn't run up the arse of the Clio.
Listen to sutclif at the end of the video. He says, "okay, the clio isn't as fast as the focus if he was really pushing it, but its not far off."
I don't think the RS was being driven to its full potential. Close, but not quite 100%.
