Day 2 (Tuesday) saw me back again to do an Aston Martin DB9.
Was on my own this time and had a stage 2 detail to complete. Also had a new camera so was tinkering a bit during correction etc - came out quite well imo! Another very long day lol.
8.30am Befores:

And the reason I was there:

The sun was ultra hot already so made conditions a bit tough. Time to roll out the new wonder product that DW love - Optimum No Rinse. I will eventually find time to write a slightly better review, but imo it's worth it's weight in gold on dark cars in boiling conditions!
Pre Rinse - BH Autofoam
Wheels, Tyres, Arches - AS Smart Wheels, AS G101, various brushes
Wash - TBM with lambswool mitt and ONR
Clay - BH Regular and AS Reglaze as lube. AS Tardis to lower halves and wheels also.
Correction - Dodo Lime Prime, 3M Extra Fine (Yellow top) in tough bits via Rotary using Yellow 3M polishing pad
Refinement - Dodo Lime Prime on 3M Black High Gloss pad via Rotary
Glaze - Poorboys Black Hole via Porter Cable on Elite Car Care finishing pad
Seal - Chemical Guys Jetseal 109
Wax - Dodo Rainforest Rub then wiped over with AS Reglaze.
Glass - AS Glass Clear
Tyres - AS Finish (2 coats)
Wheels - Poorboys Wheel Sealant
Exhausts - Wire wool and Megs Metal Polish
The client rung me as I was nearing completion to ask me to give the interior a quick hoover and leather clean / condition too
Firstly some correction shots:

Afters @ 6.15pm (ish):

Thanks for looking

Cheers all!
I don't feel obliged to reply as to how much the client spent tbh.
Clues to prices are here: http://www.refineddetail.co.uk/detailing.html

I'm sure thats more than his business and reputation is worth.
When you're a professional, you can't go getting all excited about supercars.
Rich, just out of interest do you have any sort of insurance that covers you to drive customer cars?

This is going to sound a really daft question, but what actually causes swirl marks

Good stuff.
Are you making a decent living from doing this in your opinion? (ie profitable for the hours you do, the amount of cars etc. Just curious from a business side)

Wow loads of comments here!!
In answer:
deano - No. I had the keys and was told I could move it, but no need to, and doesn't appeal to move it tbh as... (see my reply to Murray)
Murray - No I don't this year as best quote was £4.5k on a value of up to £30k car (disadvantage of being 22 ) - Hoping to get a policy to cover it next year though and pay the extra price for it. I am insured for everything else though!
Chris - Cheers mate. It's not all down to just having the gear though believe me!
Danny - Poor wash techniques, automated car washes etc. Also doesn't help on the Aston as the paintwork is ultra soft so marks easily.
Wrighty - Cheers mate!
Rich - Decent living?! I wish. Only started drawing a wage 2 months ago lol. Was a huge investment so wanted to pay as much off and level things out before I started drawing from the company. I'm working 7 days a week right now so am very busy, so am sure the money will make it worth it, yes. However, got to make hay whilst the sun shines etc, come winter it'll be a lot quieter again
