I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

That is a light weight composite bonnet prop!
John - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mh2ONbMAAY - shit sound btw as it was done with a camera phone. I am taking it really steady as that was the first time the car had been driven and I had to bed the engine and brakes in

Did you build this from scratch?
Kit form?
How much (realisticly) from start to finish to build one of these? always wanted to do something like this, but not sure about hidden costs.
Do you have a build diary?
Cracking motor, whats the spec?

Do you have a build diary? - yes HERE hasn't been updated in a while though
Cracking motor, whats the spec? - Early C20XE, Weber 45 carbs, Megajolt ignition management, SBD short sump, SBD alloy bellhousing mated to ford type 9 gearbox. GAZ coilovers on unequal length double wishbones, ETB digidash, 190bhp, 0-60 in under 5 (needs grippier tyres to get it faster) 550kg

If I was to change one thing....those seats look far too meaty for a "7" style kitcar....you want something really small, skinny and lightweight...and uncomfortable!!!!

I don't like the seats at all tbh. They will be replaced by these LINK when I get my finger out!

How'd you find the robin hood kit to build? Well fancy building my own kit car, just can't decide if its worth the extra cash for a westfield or just to save it and go for the robin hood (or zero as there now know iirc).

The Westie is three times the car tbh. But, at £16k-£18k they are a lot of money! The Zero is a very similar car, but without the years of development that the Westies have. Mine is a 2B, it is heavier and bigger than a Zero. Register on have a look on http://community.rhocar.org and read up about the Robin Hoods. I'm st3v3nw on there
Value for money, Zero wins!
