Would you consider one? Waiting for the owner to dig out the service history to see if its had a recent belt change etc


But as a run around a arden blue 1.6 sport R reg 130k for £490 sounds ok to me

Will be a good run a round, i just sold mine last week, Arden blue, 109k, alot of mods but i got £1350 for it.

if he will take £400 its got tax and I will get a rebate from my insurance so tecnically it could work out cheap if its ok

from owning a gsi in the past I know what to look for on the engines regarding oil burning and other dodgy things but anything else to look out for other then rust?

my 1.4 had over 130k on it, just do a oil and filter change on it every 5k or so

I bought a cheap 1.6 Sport to spin when my car was being sprayed. Got £400 profit.

Mine was a £600 98 Sport, Sold 6 months later for £1100.

Had to get it a CAT back exhaust though

after having a couple of vws anything over 100k doesnt sound that bad. for 400 you may aswell as long as the engine runs sweet and theres not alot of rust.
