Hi all,
Parked the car up at the bottom of the drive after getting in tonight and its been vandalised.
The dog started barking and thought nothing of it, and went out later this evening and found a full size boulder laying beside the car. They had been taken out of my front drive rockery.
Looked round and i have a massive dent in my newly polished bonnet and its gone right through all layers of paint straight to the metal.
Luckily for me i have infrared CCTV monitoring my driveway, and looking at this you can see 3 scrotes walking up to the car and one of them just hammers it straight down on the bonnet. The police have been informed (not that they can do anything anyway) but they are coming round to collect the footage soon, so they say.
Why people want to do this sort of thing is beyond me. I have no grudges with anyone and keep myself to myself and this is the sort of thing that gets people off. C**ts.
So therefore, i am looking for a flame red bonnet if anyone has one, (this has been posted up in the wanted section) quite desperatley as i need to get this sorted and it would probably be cheaper than a respray etc.
If anyone can help it would be great as its really taken a pounding and its ruined the look of my car.

Mate, im a security engineer, quickly and slyly put up a small sign saying "cctv in progess for public safty" or some shit, they are cheap, stick it on your garage door or stickback onto a window ledge
otherwise CCTV evidence is invalid in court any sign is enough - reading a sign is like agreeing to a contract

Its disgraceful. I will try and get a sign but this i dont think will stop pissed up dick heads from doing things like this.
It makes you paranoid now as you are always looking out the window at the slightest noise.

I think his point is... Put the sign up before the Police arrive, because if they do find the twats because of your cctv, it won't hold up in court without the sign.

I honestly dont think it matters whether there is a sign there or not. It doesnt mean to say you can vandalise property because there isnt, and as its private property i can film what i like.

It's crazy, whole system favours the criminals.
If you put signs up it just means they cover their faces.

Just put the sign up so that when the police your arse is cover'd. if not they wont bother taking it.
Yes, even though it is public property, you cant film strangers. etc. against there human rights or some shit. Like in the same way you cant defend your property, or your liable. Or you cant put spikes along walls incase they get hurt....:@

Cunts like that need stabbing in the face with a jib arm of a JCB.
I had some people thinking it was funny to move my concours standard Metro in the night at a show by picking it up and carrying it. They didn't dare breath near the fucking thing the following day.

The problem with CCTV being up is that its an "invasion of privacy" if looking on someone elses property and can be sueable unless its only looking on your property, its kinda stupid for having the court rule of it being invalid...
no sign dosent mean its illegal, just means its no valid for evidence in court, some people can sue you for invasion of privacy if the camera is looking onto their property
i.e a camera that can move/look around - these need to have blank spot programed in at house windows etc because someone can come allong and say your using it to spy on their buisness etc (i know it sounds stupid... but thats why the functions there)
