They're made by Nissan mate. Although the company used to be called Datsun.
And Pulsar is a sort of star.
Hope that helps.

The uk versions came with an umbrella that was tucked away in the vent as you opened the drivers door.

Fragile and costly to maintain. Make a wicked b road car but not so good as a daily driver.

I had 1,was running 313bhp,drove it daily,got abused now and again,drove to a trackday at Knockhill,done 2 sessions,never put a foot wrong,drove it home,never missed a bit in the time i had it.
Absolutely loved that car and miss it like mad.A driving ban and a future insurance quote of £2500 seen me get rid.

I can dismiss that claim.
Good B road/motorway car and good daily driver.

Depends on how well you look after it and how much you have to spend buying 1.
Personally i wouldnt spend less than £3k on a good 1.
A standard example thats never been modified would be a good choice.Make sure the gearbox is is tight and not crunchy. If its been launched on a regular basis the box wont last long.
If you get a modified example try get 1 thats had the brakes uprated and if its been tuned make sure it runs spot on and had the supporting mods.Crank up the boost without doing the fuelling to match and itl go bang.
A simple MBC,walbro fuel pump, bigger bore exhaust system, free flowing filter and cooler running plugs will run 1.1bar boost and over 300bhp safely.A FMIC isnt essential at that power but does help the inlet temps.A few other mods will se 350bhp quite easily depending on how far you want to go but anything over 300bhp and these cars are seriously scary quick.
Get 1 with better brakes, forged bottom end and a quaife(or similar)gearbox and your laughing.
Watch out for rust on the rear arches and bootlid too.
You'll pay strong money for 1 with all the above but itl be worth it,there are dogs out theyr that are cheaper, but with these cars, the good 1s really hold there value.
Insurance for an import will be grp20 and the rarer UK might be lower(itl be cheaper anyway).
