Okay, just got my first car on Thursday, got insurance today online with Admiral, all I have is a printout of proof i have insurance, I have the V5C/2 but do I need an actual copy from the insurance company through the post to insure it? thanks

Got that, my mate said when he got taxed the printout wasnt enough, he also said that lady at the post office was a cow though

you need an original certificate of insurance so you will need to wait for it to come through the post

a valid insurance certificate or cover note – photocopies, renewal invitations, facsimiles, policy receipts or schedules cannot be used

yeh what you getting at?

most companies let you print off a cover note. adrian flux emailed me my certificate of insurance and i printed that off

Just print out the proof when you do it online so if you get stopped you can show it...

You also get to put a "TAX IN POST" sign like del boy

Went yesterday morning, had to have actualy proof from the company through the post, so tax expires tonight at midnight until my insurance documents come through, was good when I had it, hope these insurance documents come through soon

Hoping so, was done on saturday morning so im expecting tuesday or wednesday, great weather at the moment too so I just want it taxed!
