restrict my air flow much, snapped an engine mount causing the engine to rock and snapped my exhaust at the flex, new mount and new downpipe / cat.

it now feels kinda slower and isn't boosting as high, could the new cat be restricting it as its a cheap job or have I got a boost leak somewhere?

I suppose is could be the cat but if it moved enough to snap your exhaust, i would say there is a good chance that you could have either split a pipe or even just pulled one off a bit.

is the downpipe a smaller diameter? That will slow the spool, and reduce boost.

If the CAT is different (tighter/more cells) it will also restrict it.

the diameter looked about the same but the cat was alot smaller, well alot shorter anyway unsure if the diameter was any different but it was definately shorter, so probably that restricting it then?

it hit 15psi a few times today which is what it was running before so I dont think there is a boost leak, and I certainly cant hear anything to suggest a leak.

3" downpipe and de cat it is then.

vag com threw up a fault code which relates to a leaky exhaust so i've cleared it and it seems a bit better, still not boosting right up to 15 psi tho it stops about 10 / 11psi now, if it was a boost leak would it boost this high? and would it be able to hold the 11psi if there was a leak?
