but when i bought the car, the journey home on the motorway, i got around 110miles to £10..
on a day to day basis i get around 65miles to £10 (again short trips)

Pretty shitey mpg tbh The missus 103bhp Yaris gets about 180 miles to £20 and that is mostly around town with a very rare trip along a dual carriageway.

I get 200 to £35 in the 1.4 16v GLS.
The tank is leaking when you put in over £15 though found this out the expensive way.

Concidering it's only 200cc bigger than the 1.2 16v I had which averaged 40MPG, I feel it's poor.
That was 95-100 miles to a tenner (11 litres)

1.4 are pish, i had one and then a 1.6 and the 1.6 was miles better on the petrol. easily see over 310 miles in the 1.6 and the 1.4 would barely see 300
