Tryed to declare my car SORN about 2 weeks ago (sent off the form along with my new keeper supliment). Had a letter off DVLA today saying i can't declare a SORN as im not the registerd keeper. They have gave me a form to send back to apply for a new log book but ask for the new keeper supliment which they havent botherd to send me back , any ideas of what to do? p.s there call centre is useless .  .

Got the car about 3 weeks ago so still registerd to the fella i got it off

im guessing dvla have the new keeper supliment by now then, check if they have it by registerd post?
if not, fill in the form send it back then your the registerd keeper and can SORN it

Phone the previous owner & tell him to get his ass into gear & send off the V5?

a friend had trouble when he got his 2.0 focus from a dealer. I was last year when he got the thing, and totally forgot he hadnt recieved a log book, untilll he came to tax it this month 
He got it tax but had to pay like £25 extra. I love how they claim it isnt possible untill they get the log book but when extra money is invovled its possible

i know there bloody useless badgers theyve sent me back the SORN form i sent off but havent sent me my new keeper supliment back, then on the guidence notes it says ''if you do not have the v5c(new keeper supliment) please enclose £25 with your application. piss take .
